Drug arrests in Shanxi

SIXTEEN people have been arrested in Luliang City in north China’s Shanxi Province on drug trafficking offences.
Police in Liulin County received a tip-off last August of online acetone purchases. Acetone is used in the methamphetamine making process.
Investigation showed a gang transporting drugs from south China’s Guangdong Province to Shandong and Shanxi provinces to sell.
On December 10, three suspects were caught in possession in Henan Province and 24.3 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized. The other members of the gang were caught within a month. Investigation is continuing.
