Beijing school teacher arrested on suspicion of raping student

A man was arrest after he allegedly raped a teenage girl he was tutoring several times, the Haidian District procuratorate in Beijing said yesterday.

The suspect, surnamed Zou, is said to have raped the 17-year-old girl surnamed Wang four times after Zou was hired by her family as a home teacher. He was paid 700 yuan (US$101) per hour.

Wang's father reported this to the police after he checked the surveillance camera installed at home in December last year.
