Education and Health
In the district there stands a number of famous schools. The relocation to the district of Shanghai Jiaotong University and East China Normal University has greatly improved the cultural and educational environment of the district.
The Qibao High School in the district is one of the first “experimental model high schools” in Shanghai.
In order to fulfill the demand of foreign investors, Minhang District has introduced several foreign schools in recent years. The American School, The Singapore International School, The Japanese School, The German & French School, The Korean School, The British International School, Rego International School, and Taiwanese Children’s Schools are all available in the Minhang District.

Minhang District is also home of the No.5 People’s Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, the Minhang Hospital of Shanghai Rego Group, the Minhang out-patient department of East China Hospital also affiliated with Fudan University, and a branch of the Hospital specializing in tumors affiliated with Fudan University all offer excellence in medical services.
The construction of Paediatrics Hospital affiliated with Fudan University and the Women and Children’s Health Center are approaching completion.
