In 2008, the district increased the housing estate landscaped area by 4.27 million square meters and the leak-free area by 3 million square meters. Meanwhile, four housing estates, with a total floor space of 572,000 square meters, were rated as Shanghai's "four high" housing estates.

Investors

In 2008, the district’s investment in fixed assets totaled 29.556 billion yuan, up 5.5% over the previous year. Specifically, investment in infrastructure was 13.353 billion yuan, accounting for 45.2% and investment in real estate development 13.196 billion yuan, 44.7%.

Tourists

Qibao heritage town, built in Northern Song Dynasty and grew into a prosperous business center during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, boasts a history of more than one thousand years, thus enabling the town as an originator of Shanghai’s local culture.
