The district's GDP is expected to grow about 8%, the total fiscal revenue about 8%, and the fiscal revenue at the district level about 8%.

Practical Deeds by the Government in 2011

1. Arranging comprehensive accidental insurance for registered seniors aged 80 and above, fixing emergency aid sets free of charge for 2, 000 single ones among them.

2. Offering free health examination every two years for retired and needy women, registered seniors aged 60 and above, as well as all disabled people.

3. Establishing food safety interactive monitoring information system.

4. Implementing fire safety projects in 130 communities and building fitness facilities in 40 old residential areas.

5. Building 300 bus shelters and implementing the identification project for bus exclusive driveways of 50 harbor-style bus stops.

6. Digitalizing 50% of cable TVs in the district and completing the construction of Minhang District People's Art Museum.

7. Building traffic light automatic control and conduction systems at the intersections of 90 major roads and fixing illumination devices at 30 remote road sections.

8. Completing the project of consolidating 500,000 square meters of buildings in primary and middle schools and implementing plans for offering mental health advice to primary and middle school students.
