Mayor meets leaders of US-China Business Council and Johnson Controls
参与上海建设实现共赢发展 应勇分晤美中贸易全国委员会和江森自控公司客人

SHANGHAI Mayor Ying Yong met John Frisbie, president of the US-China Business Council, and Alex Molinaroli, chairman and CEO of Johnson Controls, separately on Thursday.

Ying said the China-US trade has achieved sustained growth and become the ballast of the two nations’ relationship.

He told the American guests that Shanghai, as the economic center of China, is carrying out further reforms in the free trade zone and aiming to become an international economic, financial, trade and shipping center by 2020 and a global innovation center by 2030.

The mayor welcomes outstanding foreign companies, including American businesses, to invest in Shanghai for win-win outcomes, pledging to create a good business environment in line with international laws and practices.

Frisbie and Molinaroli said Shanghai is a magnet for American businesses. Many companies have put their regional headquarters in the city. They hoped their companies can get more involved in Shanghai’s development and they want to forge closer ties with China.

The US-China Business Council was founded in 1973 with an aim to promote bilateral trade and cooperation. Johnson Controls is a multinational industrial corporation and ranks 242nd among the Fortune 500 companies.
