韩正会见多哥国民议会议长德拉马尼一行

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng yesterday met a delegation from the National Assembly of Togolese Republic, led by the assembly speaker Dama Dramani.

Han welcomed the guests to visit Shanghai after attending the 4th China-Africa People's Forum held in Yiwu, a city in neighboring Zhejiang Province.

Han said China and African countries enjoy long-term friendship. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang commented on the China-Africa brotherly relationship many times.

He said China and Togo have mutual respect and trust and have conducted exchanges and cooperation in the areas of culture, education and health. He added that the visit of the delegation will further enhance the friendship between the two countries. Shanghai is keen to make more contributions to the Sino-African relationship.

Dramani thanked the Shanghai government for its hospitality and said their visit to China is fruitful. The delegation had profound discussions at the forum on building the China-Africa community of shared destiny.

Dramani said Togo and China trust each other politically, respect each other’s culture, and have big potentials for economic cooperation. He hoped more Chinese companies from Shanghai will invest in Togo.

Yin Hong, secretary general of the CPC Shanghai Committee, joined the meeting.
