Han Zheng meets US-China Business Council president
继续走在深化改革的最前沿 韩正会见美中贸易全国委员会会长

IN his meeting with John Frisbie, president of the US-China Business Council, on March 25, Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng said the city is striving to make breakthroughs in reforms and opening in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone under the guidance of the central government.

He said the US-China Business Council has made substantial contribution to the bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Many American companies are involved in Shanghai’s development. He hoped both countries can cooperate even more in the future.

Frisbie said Shanghai is at the frontline of Sino-US economic exchanges. The construction of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone is the best proof.

He said the US-China Business Council has 215 member companies and many of them have regional headquarters in Shanghai. Some of their executives are also members of the International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai.

Frisbie said his council will continue to boost China-US trade and economic cooperation. In the same meeting, Han Zheng answered questions from some executives of the council’s member companies.
