Youth innovation contest starts
THE Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance 2016 kicked off yesterday at Fudan University with 66 university students from 29 countries and regions participating.
The participants are divided into nine groups to discuss major problems the world faces and come up with solutions that embrace the theme “Sustainable Development Goals: Common Agenda, Plural Approaches,” which is also the theme of this year’s G20 Summit taking place in Hangzhou in September.
First launched in 2007 by Fudan University and sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme in China, the competition has attracted more than 700 participants from over 40 countries and regions over the past nine years.
