Treatment for student injured in blast
DOCTORS are working out a further treatment plan for a student injured in a blast at a lab of Donghua University that wounded three postgraduate students on Wednesday, the school announced yesterday.
One student suffered minor bruises and had resumed studying, while the other two had 5 percent of their faces burned by chemical reaction that included potassium permanganate and their eyes were also injured, the university said.
The injuries in one student’s eyes were not serious but the other had received an operation, and a further treatment plan was being made.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. The incident happened around 10:30pm on the university’s Songjiang District campus.
