Toad-soup trouble

A 70-year-old man from the village of Xinbang in Songjiang District made himself very ill by eating soup made from toads he bought at a local market. The man believed that eating the soup would help cure a skin problem. After eating the soup — made with three toads boiled in a pan — he began feeling dizzy and later vomited. He went to Songjiang District Central Hospital in an ambulance and was treated in intensive care, but was then sent home.
