Shanghai fuel prices higher from today

FUEL prices in Shanghai will be higher from today after the government announced a price hike in line with the rising cost of crude oil.

The ceiling price for 92-octane gasoline is now 6.43 yuan (US$1.04) per liter from 6.19 yuan, while a liter of 95-octane costs 6.84 yuan from 6.59 yuan. Diesel rises to 6.05 yuan per liter, from 5.81 yuan. The government increased gasoline prices by 300 yuan per ton and diesel prices by 285 yuan per ton, the National Development and Reform Commission said yesterday. China’s fuel prices are adjusted every two weeks based on global markets.
