POLICE in Qingpu District spent six hours searching for a woman’s purse that had been reported stolen, only to find it in a rubbish bin. The incident happened on April 12, police said yesterday. Footage from a bank’s surveillance cameras showed the woman’s 2-year-old son was responsible for putting his mother’s purse into the bin.
