Programer to blame for Ctrip site collapse
THE problem that caused the collapse of the Ctrip.com website on Thursday was attributed to one of the company’s own workers, the Shanghai-based company said yesterday.
The travel firm earlier attributed the incident, which led to the site and mobile application being out of service for 11 hours, to an “unknown hacker attack.” It yesterday issued a statement saying that one of its programers had “accidentally deleted the executive codes” from the company’s servers.
