Police hunt for parents of baby left on moped
POLICE are looking for the parents of a 1-week-old baby girl who was left behind on a stranger’s moped.
The infant was wrapped in a woven bag and was found on the electric moped of a woman, surnamed Li, who works in Jinshan District.
Li told police she was heading home after completing her night shift and discovered the baby around 6am on Saturday, along with few piece of clothes.
The infant was around 5 days old, according to the Shanghai No. 6 People’s Hospital. The hospital said the infant’s lips were turning purple when she was brought in but was in stable condition now. The baby was transferred to the Shanghai Children’s Welfare Home.
