Metro escalator up-skirts photos earn man detention

A MAN was detained for five days after taking pictures of a woman commuter on a Metro escalator.
The 23-year-old man, surnamed Wu, pointed his iPhone up the woman’s skirt on an escalator near the entrance of Line 9’s Guilin Road Station at 8:10am on Friday, authorities said.
The female passenger noticed Wu’s behavior and dialed 110. Wu was taken away by police and given a five-day detention.
With the approach of warmer weather, police reminded women commuters to pay attention to their surroundings when taking escalators. They are encouraged to call police if they are molested or bothered.
