Metro begging probe
POLICE have launched an investigation after a blog posting suggested that a child was forced to beg on Metro trains.
A Metro commuter posted pictures on his Weibo that showed a boy handing over a bag, presumably with his day’s collection, to three men at Xujiahui Station on Line 1 yesterday. The commuter claimed the boy had been begging on the train before getting off at Xujiahui. The men emptied the “earnings” from his bag, gave some water to the kid and sent him off again. Police said it was looking for clues from more commuters to assist in the investigation.
