SHANGHAI Food and Drug Administration checked 873 batches of meat and meat products in the first quarter with 41 failing to meet the national standard.
The most unqualified meat were found with excessive bacteria count. All unqualified products were removed from the shelves. For cooked meat products, some leading supermarkets like Walmart and the supermarket inside the Jiuguang Department Store were also found selling unqualified products.
