Man seriously injured in Lupu Bridge rush hour accident

A man was hit and seriously injured by a car after he stopped his vehicle on Lupu Bridge, got out and climbed over the traffic barrier into oncoming traffic this morning.
The man was spotted lying beside a pool of blood near the bridge’s center barrier after a Touran hit him in a lane going from Puxi to the Pudong New Area.
According to a witness, the man got out of a minivan and hopped over the center barrier into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Touran didn’t have enough time to stop, the witness said.
The Touran’s windshield was broken and the minivan was on the other side of the traffic barrier.
Traffic police said the victim was badly injured and that they were still investigating the case.
