Man held for posting fake nudes online

A MAN who uploaded fake nude images of a woman to the Internet after she blew the whistle on his affair with a married woman has been given 10 days’ detention, police said.

Yao Wenchang was charged with “humiliating” Zhang Jing after pasting her head shot onto an image of a naked woman and posting the result on a social media site, along with her cellphone number.

Police said Yao sought revenge after Zhang, a friend of the woman with whom he was having an affair, reported it to the woman’s husband. The revelation led to his lover, Chen Lin, ending the relationship.

Zhang said she went to police on December 2 after being confronted by her husband who said he had seen pictures of her naked on the QQ blog service.

She told police she had been receiving calls from strangers — asking her for sex — since November, but had no idea how they had got her number.

It was only after her husband found the pictures and threatened her with a divorce that she searched for them herself.

Police later determined that Yao uploaded the fake images of Zhang, along with several pornographic photographs of other women, to a QQ “space” on November 21. A second post to the same space included her cellphone number.
