A man has been detained for making fake bomb warning calls on Saturday, Shanghai police said.
The suspect, surnamed Liu, called police twice on Saturday afternoon claiming that there was a bomb in a certain airport and then said he would attack a bank with explosives.
Police in Hongkou District caught Liu soon after.
Liu told police that he made the false claims out of grudge over some personal issues, police said, without giving details.
He was detained on suspicion of making up and spreading fake terrorist information.
