THREE batches of furniture made by Shanghai firms were found to have serious quality problems, the quality watchdog said. Cupboards made by Shanghai Haile Furniture and bedside cabinets made by Shanghai Aifujie Furniture were found to have excessive levels of formaldehyde, while computer desks made by Shanghai Huishi Furniture contained excessive amounts of soluble lead and soluble chromium, the quality bureau said.
