Driver commits suicide after crashing into several vehicles

A driver who went on a rampage and crashed into several vehicles in the Pudong New Area this morning committed suicide by jumping from a hotel after the accident.
According to some witnesses, the man, in his 30s, shouted at the scene and behaved abnormally after the crash.
Witnesses said he crashed his Audi into a van, bus, taxi and a vehicle transporting watermelons around 6am. He stopped only after crashing into a traffic light.
Broken glass and burst watermelons were scattered everywhere on the road, witnessed added.
The man was later seen entering a nearby hotel and he jumped off the ninth floor, causing his death.
Reports said the two who had been selling watermelons were seriously injured.
Traffic police said they are still investigating the case.
