Brain parasite removed
DOCTORS from the Xinhua Hospital said they recently removed an 8-centimeter live parasite from the brain of an 11-year-old boy. The boy was taken to hospital following a seizure and lost of consciousness on November 12. The hospital said he liked street food and had also eaten snake. Doctors said the parasite they found, sparganosis, is common in frogs and snakes.
