AN abandoned newborn baby was found dead in a garbage room in a residential complex in the Pudong New Area at 6:49am, police said yesterday. Paramedics confirmed the baby girl’s death at the scene. A resident surnamed Chen the baby was found by a janitor with her umbilical cord still attached, xinmin.cn reported. Police are investigating.
