Warm, rainy weekend ahead

DON’T forget your umbrella when you go out this weekend. Forecasters say the city will be hit with showers through the beginning of next week, and the mercury will range from 23 to 31 degrees Celsius.

As the subtropical high-pressure system moves northwards, skies will remain cloudy this morning and a few scattered showers are expected in the afternoon.

On Tuesday, the mercury will rise to 34 degrees from a low of 26 under clear skies.

The warming trend will continue on Wednesday, when the high is expected to reach 35. Some areas will see showers in the afternoon.
