Shopping streets free Wi-Fi

HUANGPU District yesterday launched a free Wi-Fi service along Nanjing Road E. and Huaihai Road M. — the two major commercial roads in the city. The district government also opened a WeChat online messaging account named “Online Huaihai and Nanjing Roads” to provide shoppers with information and vouchers to be used at shops along the roads. Up to 8,000 shoppers can simultaneously read information and take part in online promotions on the WeChat account, said Huangpu officials.
