Shanghai, Istanbul flights cancelled after Turkey blasts
DIRECT flights between Shanghai and Istanbul were canceled today and passengers booked on the flights will be given ticket refunds or free flight change.
Suicide attackers killed dozens and wounded more than 140 at Istanbul’s busy Ataturk Airport yesterday.
Turkish Airlines Flight TK26 and TK27 between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Ataturk airport was cancelled following the incident.
The airlines has a code sharing deal with Chinese national carrier Air China.
Turkish Airlines flights to Beijing and Guangzhou were also cancelled.
The airlines said all booked flights to or having stopover in Istanbul until July 5 can be changed or will be refunded before the end of July.
China Southern airlines who shares code with the Turkish airlines on many flights between China and Turkey and announced similar refunds to its passengers.
