Metro provides quick pass for students taking entrance exams

STUDENTS sitting for the upcoming college entrance exam and high school entrance exam can quickly pass Metro stations with traffic control during the exam days, as the Metro operator will introduce a series of measures to provide a smoother transportation and better environment for the students.

The college entrance exam, also known as gaokao, will be held from June 7 to 9 in Shanghai, and the high school entrance exam, or zhongkao, will be held from June 17 to 18.

Examinees can enjoy a quicker pass via green channels in the Metro stations with their exam admission tickets during morning rush hours, the Metro operator said. It added it will also send more staffers and volunteers to provide road information for students to find the destination schools where the exams are held.

Moreover, elevated Metro stations will lower volumes of broadcast and the trains will introduce speed limit in related areas during the exam days to minimize impact on the examinees.

The Metro operators will also stop constructions that would create noise near residential complexes at night to provide a better environment for the students to rest.
