Fung-Wong reaches Shanghai, packing winds of up to 82kph

TROPICAL storm Fung-Wong reached Shanghai's Haiwan Town in Fengxian District around 10:45am today with wind speeds of up to 82 kilometers per hour.

Fung-Wong, which was downgraded from a typhoon, is moving north. It is expected to enter the East China Sea this evening.

The storm is expected to dump up to 60 millimeters of rain in northern Shanghai.

Fung-Wong had already caused havoc in Zhejiang Province, Taiwan and the Philippines.
