Fog slows Metro trains

TRAINS running on the overground sections of Metro Line 16 in Songjiang and Minhang districts were forced to cut their speed yesterday due to heavy fog. The go-slow lasted for two hours from 7am, after the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow fog warning, saying visibility in the area was less than 100 meters. Intervals between trains were also lengthened because of the adverse weather. The warning was lifted at 8:28am and trains returned to normal speed at 9am.
