OVER 70 flights were canceled and some 200 delayed due to heavy rainstorm in the city yesterday.

Shanghai-Beijing flights were the worst hit. About 20 flights were canceled and over 40 delayed on the busiest domestic route by yesterday evening.

China Southern Airlines said many flights between Shanghai and the southern cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen were affected because of the rain.
