Feels like summer as mercury soars

It feels like summer in Shanghai today as the sun was out and the mercury was forecast to reach 28 degrees Celsius, forecasters at the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau said.
By 11am, most districts recorded temperatures between 25 and 26 degrees. At the benchmark Xujiahui weather station it was 25.5 degrees.
The warm weather is expected to last through Saturday although the bureau said it would be overcast with a chance of scattered showers for the rest of the workweek.
