Disney train service set for trial runs
IT will take people travelling to the new Shanghai Disney Resort, which opens on June 16, just 40 minutes to get there from Xujiahui, the city’s Metro operator said yesterday.
Disney Station at the end of the Disney Line, the section of Line 11 that starts at Luoshan Road Station, will begin carrying passengers on a trial basis from 10am next Tuesday.
However, the Metro operator said some public areas of the station are still under construction.
The Disney Line was fully connected on December 19 last year, but Disney Station has not been operating.
According to the line’s timetable, the first train will leave Disney Station at 6am and the last train will depart at 10:30pm. The timetable might be adjusted later to accommodate the resort’s opening hours.
On the first day of the trial operation, a train will leave from North Jiading Station at 8:30am, arriving at Xujiahui at 9:20am, the Oriental Sports Center at 9:34am and Disney Station at 10am.
