Cool solution to hot bus stop seats

STAINLESS steel seats at city bus stops are being replaced with ones covered in rubber, after complaints that they’re too hot to sit on in summer.
Temperatures on the stainless steel seats can reach 50 degrees Celsius in scorching weather, the Shanghai Transport Commission said.
Rubber-clad seats will be able to stay cooler, added officials.
The office plans to replace 200 stainless steel seats within this year, especially those at bus stops near hospitals. Another 800 more seats will be replaced in the next two years.
