Cloudy week ahead with showers

IT should be slightly warmer this week with the high reaching 31 degrees Celsius, though rain is likely too, forecasters said yesterday.

Today is set to be cloudy with temperatures ranging between 24 and 31 degrees, with showers in the west of the city, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

Yesterday’s high at the benchmark Xujiahui station was 30.5 degrees.

Tomorrow and Wednesday are set to be cloudy with showers and similar temperatures to today. The high is set to drop a tad to 30 degrees on Thursday, with afternoon thundershowers.

Air quality is expected to be good to excellent today, according to the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center.
