Bus lines rerouted for reparation on Waibaidu Bridge
FOUR bus lines operating after midnight will be rerouted from tomorrow due to the reparation on Waibaidu Bridge on the Bund, Shanghai Road Administration Bureau said today.
As announced before, from tomorrow to June 24, the bridge will be entirely closed to vehicles between 12 and 4:30am every day.
The rerouted bus lines are No. 307, 317, 330 and 305, but it doesn’t take much detour.
Other vehicles intending to pass the Suzhou Creek are advised to take the nearby Zhapu Road Bridge from the north and Sichuan Road Bridge from the south.
A part of the structure of the iconic 109-year-old Waibaidu Bridge was broken and distorted after a truck hit the bridge on the early morning of April 25, and the reparation work started from this week.
