Local TCM hospital invents new TCM surgical therapy for anal fistula

LOCAL traditional Chinese medicine experts invented a TCM surgical therapy for adults with complicated anal fistula as well as infants with the annoying problems. A TCM diagnosis and treatment center for anal fistula was established at Longhua Hospital, one of the leading TCM hospitals in the city.

An anal fistula is a small channel that can develop between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus. It can cause unpleasant symptoms like discomfort and skin irritation, and usually doesn’t heal by itself get better on their own. Surgery is recommended in most cases.

Dr Lu Jingen, a leading TCM specialist in Shanghai, invented a "suture-dragging" therapy based on TCM’s thread therapy and tight seton drainage in combination of western medicine’s minimal invasive surgical concept without really cutting skin open.
