Charity event kicks off

This year’s edition of the annual charity action, “Greatest Love under the Sky”, officially kicked off today.

The annual charity month, gathering all charity foundations in the city and including hundreds of charity events, will last till January 7 next year.

At the opening ceremony today, fourteen companies and charity foundations donated over 8 million yuan (US$1.16 million) in total to Shanghai Charity Foundation, and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Hongkou District donated to establish a special fund helping women and children in need in that district.
