‘Beer belly’ tumor removed
A huge tumor was removed from a 35-year-old woman’s pelvic cavity by Shanghai General Hospital after a three-hour surgery.
The tumor was 37 centimeters in diameter and weighed 15 kilograms. It almost occupied the whole cavity and pushed the patient’s ovary and fallopian tube on the right side to the left. The patient is recovering from what she initially dismissed as a “beer belly.”
