Port officials issue warning to animal-release vessels

WUSONG Port officials have warned that vessels suspected of taking passengers to release animals will be banned, eastday.com reported.
The measure was introduced for safety reasons after the authority found that many residents were using unlicensed vessels to release fish and shrimp near the port, particularly on weekends and holidays.
Most of the vessels are privately owned, not licensed to take passengers and do not have the necessary safety equipment, the authority said.
