Music talent show 'Sing! China' to air on Friday
THE highly-expected "Sing!China” produced by Star China will air on Zhejiang Satellite TV on Friday evening.
A gala and premiere of the new reality competition series will be held at Xintiandi.
Star China used to own the copyright of the former four seasons of "The Voice of China," but Talpa Media canceled its deal with Star China for the production of the next five to eight seasons earlier this year.
"Sing!China" is an original and new format created by Star China. The jury panel is composed of mainland singers Na Ying, Wang Feng and Taiwanese singers Jay Chou and Harlem Yu.
Producers revealed that auditions of talented singers in the show will differ from the methods used in the former seasons of "The Voice of China."
The show's promotional video was helmed by mainland film maker Feng Xiaogang. Producers said that they hope to discover more grassroots music talents and tell own stories of China about people and dream.
