Michael Fassbender in town to promote ‘Assassin’s Creed’

GERMAN-BORN Irish actor Michael Fassbender was in town last night to promote his latest action adventure film "Assassin's Creed."

Fassbender, known for his portrayal of Magneto in the "X-Men" film series, interacted and took photo with local film buffs at the Baoshan Wanda Cinema.

He said he likes Chinese food such as Peking Duck. He also told Chinese fans that his favorite Chinese movie is Stephen Chow's "Kung Fu Hustle."

Before his visit to Shanghai, Fassbender also attended the film's China premiere in Beijing on Monday.

Based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, the film will be released tomorrow (February 24) with both 3D and IMAX 3D versions.

It revolves around Callum Lynch who explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin.
