Metro removes ads featuring Jaycee Chan

ALL light box advertisements featuring Jaycee Chan, the son of film star Jackie Chan, have been removed from the city’s Metro network, its operator said yesterday.

Chan, 31, featured in a series of public service advertisement (above) promoting blood donation. He was detained last week along with Taiwan movie star Kai Ko after testing positive for marijuana.

Chan became an ambassador for blood donation in June, and the advertisements were posted across the network.

The Metro operator said it had been in talks with related organizations since Tuesday after receiving complaints from commuters who claimed it was unsuitable for his image to be shown in public.
