Kobe Bryant to be coach for Chinese basketball variety show

THE celebrity basketball reality series "The Players" will make its debut on Dragon TV on Friday evening.
Former NBA player Kobe Bryant will be the basketball coach for Chinese pop idols such as Liu Ye, Chen Jianzhou and Liang Chao. The show will document the real training and competition days of the players.
Producers said that it is the first time Bryant is starred in a Chinese variety show. Bryant hopes that the series can promote the basketball culture and fun to a larger Chinese audiences.
