Future Grammy Award ceremonies to have Chinese feel
Get ready for the Chinese Grammys.
Special events featuring Chinese music will be held during future Grammy Awards ceremonies, according to a partnership announced today by the host of the awards and the Chinese Musicians' Association in Shanghai.
According to Neil Portnow, president of the US-based National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, the Grammys are international and they are very excited to work with their new Chinese partner.
In the future some special events will be held to highlight Chinese music during the Grammy Awards.
The partners will also collaborate to build up a platform to gather talented Chinese musicians and create more outstanding music.
Yu Long, an official with the Chinese Musicians' Association, said the partnership will inspire the domestic music industry to establish its own musical standards system covering technology and copyright.
