City’s filmmakers set dream challenge

BUDDING filmmakers are being offered the chance to win 10,000 yuan (US$1,600) and have their masterpieces screened on the city’s subway network.

Metro operator Shentong Group today launches its “Dream Chaser” competition and is asking people to submit their short films.

“We want videos that focus on dreams,” an official said.

“They could be about city life, or how people chase the ‘Chinese dream’ in a place like Shanghai,” he said.

The films should be short, with a total length that is a multiple of 30 seconds, he said.

Entries should be e-mailed to shmetro_ggwh@qq.com or sent on a disc to Room 428, 8075 Humin Road. The closing date is June 14 and the top 10 films will each win 10,000 yuan.
