Schools to be scrutinized

SHANGHAI education and health officials will inspect safety facilities and management systems in schools and hospitals in the coming days. The aim is to make sure the facilities are suitably equipped to prevent accidents and able to respond to emergencies, said the Shanghai Education Commission. The move was announced in response to the New Year’s tragedy at the Bund.
