THE Shanghai Education Commission yesterday released detailed guidelines for high schools to assess their pupils’ engagement in voluntary services, sports and art activities and innovation projects. From 2017, all of these will be considered alongside the youngsters’ academic performance as part of the marking criteria for the national college entrance examination.
