Boost for tourism talent

THE World Tourism Forum Lucerne (WTFL) yesterday staged its first ever Talent Boost event in Shanghai in cooperation with East China Normal University.
The idea of the program is to help foster local talent within the tourism industry and to give undergraduates the opportunity to communicate with their peers and industry experts on key issues. As part of the scheme, students from Shanghai and other partner universities from around the world will be invited to take part in an international design competition and sit in on future forums. The WTFL said on its website that the aim of the partnership with East China Normal University is to create awareness of the importance of identifying and promoting young talent in the tourism sector.
